H.E.A.D.S. Hurricanes (2000-2001-2002 Girls)

Thank you for visiting the H.E.A.D.S. Hurricanes team page.

This team trains and plays out of Erin & Hillsburgh, but includes players from a widespread area covering
Erin, Hillsburgh, Orangeville, Mono, Acton, and Georgetown.

The team is coached by Michael Glogowski (10+ years experience coaching U10 - U18 rep girls) and Chris Hannaford (7 years experience coaching rep girls U10 - U16). Jason Unger is the assistant coach for this team with 5+ years experience coaching female rep league players.

The training plan for the 2017-18 indoor season includes meeting 3 times a week Nov-Apr in Erin: one turf field session, one gymnasium session, and one session at a fitness centre. Outdoor training will be 2 on-field sessions and 1 strength & fitness session per week.

We are looking for players who are flexible enough to play in any position. We have interest in adding a strong outfield player who is eager to share the GK position. We provide GK training and individual training / assessment / reporting for your personal goals.

TOURNAMENT TRAVEL PLANS:

- in the summer of 2016, the team took a coach bus to Montreal to compete in the "Challenge Brossard" tournament. Closer to home, the team were the UMSC Tournament Champs in the U15G division.

- in July 2017, the team flew to Minnesota to compete in the USA Cup, where the Hurricanes placed 1st in their group before bowing out in the elimination round. This was an exciting trip, exposing the team to a variety of experiences, and provided a great environment for team bonding.

- for 2018, we are beginning to sort out options, hoping to provide an even richer experience for the players.
